Acne is a skin disease caused by inflammation of the pilosebaceous follicles are characterized by the eruption, comedones, papules, pustules, and cysts in the glands of the tendency for the face, upper arms, neck, chest and back. This inflammatory process and then subsequently will be blackheads develop into papules, pustules, nodes, and cysts. And if the inflammation is complete, partial scarring can occur with various forms of more familiar as pockmarks / scar.

Many factors cause acne, such as:

1. increased sebum production that causes blockage of hair follicles and skin pores.

2. Increasing the amount of acne-causing bacteria (P. acnes, P. ovale, P. epidermis) which tend to multiply in the blocked sebaceous glands that produce substances that cause irritation to the surrounding area.

3. Increased levels of androgens, anabolic, corticosteroids, gonadotropins, and ACH is an important factor might be in the sebaceous glands. Other hormonal changes that can cause acne are menstruation, pregnancy, drug use and stress.

4. The occurrence of stress that triggers the sebaceous glands either directly or through stimulation by the pituitary gland. In fact, stress does not directly cause acne. the cause is, there are certain hormones that come out when someone is stressed that allows the growth of acne. Not only that, stress makes people have a diet that tend to consume a lot of sugary and fatty foods, as a "breakout" of stress that can cause acne.

5. Because of their age, race, familiar, the food, the weather can indirectly stimulate the occurrence of acne.

6. Blockage of pores often occurs by the use of cosmetics that contain oil or use a powder that blends with the foundation. Foundation were contained in the powder causes the face powder easily clog pores which can cause acne.

7. Consumption of good oral corticosteroid medication (oral medication) or topical (ointment), which resulted in decreased immune system also increases the potential for acne due to increased pathogen activity.

8. The surface of a cell phone can be a fertile medium for bacterial growth. To prevent acne, clean the surface of the phone regularly with alcohol and try not to stick to the cheek when a cell phone call.
